It all started in 2013 when we rescued one accident victim and brought her to the vet. They told us to put her to sleep (PTS) as thats the usual advice from vets to all paralysed dogs to stop their suffering. We decided to give her a second chance so we convinced the vet to give her treatment and followed up with continuous acupuncture and laser treatment weekly.
The furries will power and hardwork paid through. After 6 months she slowly started making progress and started standing again. We bought her a wheelchair and she is with us till now.
Paralysed furries can be treated and even if they dont recover they can still have a normal life just like others furries. Hence, the decision were made and now we have 118 furries, paralysed, blind and special need furries.
Rehabilitation, treatment and daily needs are an ongoing expenses that we spend every month. Total upkeep of this house of furries cost almost 25k each month. To break the norm of a typical shelter we are selling homemade treats, cookies and meatloaves for furries to become a self funded shelter.
